Venezia, la luna e tu is a heartfelt song in Venice.
“Il valzer dell’allegria” is one of Claudio Villa’s well known songs. Claudio Villa was known as il Reuccio della Canzone Italiana in his time because he truly dominated early Italian Television with his appearances in the San Remo Italian Song Festival held each year since 1951! This singer has a very distinct voice and, as a trained tenor, he could hit the high notes and conclude with a long vocal crescendo! The lyrics of his songs were and still are very likeable… this particular one has given us some real joy today when we sang it… very appropriate song for Italy’s wins in the Soccer Finals and Eurovision Song Festival this year 2021!

My philosophy regarding “Singing” for educational purpose is here illustrated in this clip from my archives. A wonderful activity for students of Italian. By osmosis it’s also true for the learning of other languages. Here is “Lamentu d’amuri” also known as “Mi votu e mi rivotu”… look up Insegna.com and TomPadulaTV on YouTube if you are teaching or learning Italian. Come to see me if you need resources and a chat regarding the Italian Language Curriculum…
