Another afternoon with Dora and Rino… hoping that “Reginella” and “Chitarra Romana” renew for you the love of singing at home these beautiful Italian songs which we present with you in mind…

“La lontananza” is one of Domenico Modugno finest songs. He combines recitation and singing naturally… and when accompanied by all that is needed for a Grand Entertainment Event… then the result is memorable and set aside for permanent enjoyment. Mr Volare as he was also called must be looking down from one of those white clouds in the sky… I hope that he doesn’t mind us singing his song on this special afternoon here in one of Melbourne’s suburban homes! Thank you Dora Marchese and son Rino for your company today. Now Angelo and Benito must wonder what we are doing! It’s only another of Tom’s initiatives to highlight “Le canzoni della Bella Lingua”

Champagne, Paese and Torna a Surriento is the second set of Program 2 for Coro All’Improvviso. The first song Champagne seems easy to sing… we tried twice because the intonation did not come as we wished when we sang in Two… I wanted to see whether I could manage it… Paese is a song that Rino knows well and Torna a Surriento is one that Dora knows well. The Neapolitan genre was in fact Il Cavallo di Battaglia of the Trio Lucano when Angelo was leading the Trio!
