I have chosen to put this book in the Italian History section because any novel about Ancient Rome highlights the importance of this Peninsula in our human story. The Author, Andrea Frediani, is a great narrator of battles. This one is held at the beginning of the Second Century A.D. Roman Army discipline side with political ambitions of power and corruption by the ruling class. Two brothers with different personalities demonstrate that brute force needs the seedy activities of a spy to win against a formidable enemy.
